Cavapoo Puppy Price: What It Actually Costs

A Cavapoo puppy from us is $1,700 to $1,850. Generation and expected adult size explain most of the difference between one listing and another, and one of them also decides your grooming bill.

Cavapoos are the most expensive of our three breeds, and the reasons are straightforward. Here is what we charge, what moves prices across the market, and what the dog costs to keep once it is home.

What we charge

Item Cost
Cavapoo puppy $1,700 to $1,850
Delivery within the lower 48 Typically $150 to $300
Pickup reservation deposit 60% of the puppy price; delivery reservations require full puppy price plus delivery fee

The puppy price includes the veterinary health certificate, dated vaccination and deworming records, microchip, welcome kit and feeding plan, and our written 2-year genetic health guarantee. For Portland pickup, a 60% deposit can hold your puppy for up to thirty days, with the balance due before collection. For delivery, the full puppy price plus the confirmed delivery fee are required to reserve.

What moves Cavapoo prices

Advertised prices for Cavapoo puppies in the United States commonly start above a thousand dollars and climb well into the thousands. These are the factors behind the spread.

  • Generation. F1 is a first cross: one Cavalier parent, one Poodle parent. F1B is a Cavapoo bred back to a Poodle. F1Bs usually cost more because the curlier, lower-shedding coat is what most buyers are looking for. Our F1B puppies sit at the top of our range for exactly that reason.
  • Expected adult size. Smaller Cavapoos are asked for more often and priced accordingly. How big do Cavapoos get explains why the Poodle parent decides this.
  • Coat and color. Apricot, red and the chestnut-and-white parti pattern attract more interest than solid black, which affects asking prices without affecting the dog.
  • Parent health testing. The Cavalier side of this cross has known inherited conditions, particularly affecting the heart and the eyes. Testing costs money and a breeder who does it prices accordingly. This is the one price difference worth paying for.
  • What is included. As always, compare the whole package rather than the headline number.
Ask about the Cavalier side specifically

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have well-documented inherited health issues, and a Cavapoo inherits half its genetics from one. Ask what testing was done on the Cavalier parent and what the results were. A breeder who has done the work will answer immediately. How to choose a responsible breeder covers the rest of the questions.

What a Cavapoo costs after homecoming

Item First-year estimate
Food $300 to $500
Routine veterinary care and preventatives $400 to $800
Spay or neuter $250 to $650
Professional grooming $450 to $900
Crate, bed, harness, bowls, brushes, toys $200 to $450
Pet insurance $300 to $700

Coat type sets the grooming bill, not the breed name

Where an individual Cavapoo lands between the Cavalier’s flat silky coat and the Poodle’s tight curl decides how much work it is. A straighter coat brushes out in minutes. A curly F1B coat mats if it is left for a week and needs daily attention plus a groom every six weeks. Both are fine choices. Only one of them fits a household that genuinely has no time. Cavapoo coats and colors goes through the three types.

Ears are a small recurring cost

Long drop ears inherited from the Cavalier side trap moisture, and the hair that grows in the canal makes it worse. Weekly checks and a vet-approved cleaner cost very little. Recurrent ear infections, left to become a pattern, do not. This is a five-minute habit that is worth building in the first fortnight.

Company is the hidden requirement

Cavapoos are sociable dogs that do poorly left alone for long stretches. If your household is out all day, the real cost is daycare, a walker, or the behavioural work that follows separation anxiety. Teaching a puppy to be comfortable alone is easier done early than fixed later.

Key takeaways
  • Ours are $1,700 to $1,850, plus roughly $150 to $300 for delivery.
  • F1B usually costs more than F1, because of the coat rather than the dog.
  • Parent health testing is the premium worth paying. Ask about the Cavalier side.
  • Budget $450 to $900 a year for grooming, more if your puppy has a curly coat.

Ownership cost figures are general estimates and vary by region and by individual dog. For inherited health conditions and testing, speak to your veterinarian.

Choosing a Cavapoo with the full picture in mind

When comparing Cavapoo puppies, generation labels and coat appearance can be useful, but they do not guarantee a particular adult size, shedding level or temperament. Ask about the parents, the puppy’s development, routine grooming needs and the written health and delivery terms. The total cost should include the specific puppy and the transport arrangement, not just the headline figure.

You can browse Everpine’s available puppies and ask about an individual Cavapoo once you have a preferred size range and realistic expectations for coat care.
