Early vaccinations and deworming protect a puppy through its most vulnerable months. Here is a plain-language overview of how it usually works, so the paperwork makes sense.

Every Everpine puppy comes home with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming already underway and fully documented. Your job is to continue the schedule with your own vet, who tailors it to your area and your puppy.

The general shape of a puppy vaccination schedule

Core vaccines protect against serious diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus and, at the appropriate age, rabies. Your vet may also recommend non-core vaccines based on your lifestyle and region, such as leptospirosis, kennel cough or Lyme.

Deworming

Puppies are routinely dewormed on a schedule because worms are common and easily passed. Your puppy will already have been dewormed with us, and your vet will advise on continuing parasite control, including protection against fleas, ticks and heartworm suited to your climate.

Keeping records straight

• Bring our records to your first visit so your vet can pick up the schedule exactly.
• Keep a simple log of dates and products, or let your vet hold the master record.
• Do not skip boosters. The series only works if it is finished on time.
